Thank you for your generous presence at our AGM — around 80 people came to attend the presentation of our first year as an active association, we are over the moon!
A small change to the board was announced: Matthieu Moillet joined and André Mercoiret stepped down.
The group workshops gave rise to interesting reflections and ideas for projects to share! Among them: restoring vacant housing, working with local authorities, cleaning the Gardon river, restoring basins, looking for unused plots to cultivate at small scale, etc.
Thanks to Les Iguananas for closing the evening with their music!

The Cévennes 2050 association organised a free workshop to learn how to restore basins for irrigation, swimming, ornamental use, etc.

Didier, a specialist in natural lime renders, guided us through this work and taught us the simple techniques needed to create a watertight lime render.

This work day spread over 4 days, during which all the stages of restoration were reviewed up to the final waterproofing render.

The workshop took place on the irrigation basin that will feed the Saint-Jean-du-Gard community gardens from this spring onwards.

A friendly evening rich with discussions, ideas and proposals for the actions to come. Thank you!

Training day “Building a group around a shared project” with Clara from Nosautras. The Cévennes 2050 team chose to take time to train, with the aim of opening up more fluidly to a larger group.

Restoration of the gardens’ water supply basin and the béal (irrigation channel): masonry and installation of pipes recovered on site. A productive day, thanks to about a dozen volunteers!

The idea of buying back a small Cévennes farm in Mialet was the starting point of a collective adventure aimed at securing the agricultural use of this land… and as we discovered that many people share this vision, the idea of founding a local land trust was born.

Restoration of the gardens’ water supply basin and the béal (irrigation channel): masonry and installation of pipes recovered on site.

An event around the themes of housing, food autonomy and water management. Open to a broad audience through talks/debates, participatory workshops, performances, concerts, entertainment, exhibitors, activities for children and catering. So many spaces dedicated to sharing and conviviality, to work together on new imaginaries.
